Sunrise on the highest mountain in Lower Austria
Drive up the highest mountain in Lower Austria before dawn and experience the breathtaking sunrise in the Hochschneeberg mountain area. Enjoy nature and tranquillity at 1,800 metres above sea level, including a unique panoramic view as far as the Vienna Basin and the Pannonian Plain. Afterwards, take the comfortable Salamander train or enjoy a sporty walk downhill to Baumgartner station, where a hearty mountain breakfast awaits you.
Timetable: Every Friday from 4 July to 29 August
Please arrive at the tourism portal at Puchberg station at least 20 minutes before your departure.

Note: Bad weather can lead to operating restrictions.
Procedure & included services
- Ascent with the Salamander train to the Hochschneeberg mountain railway station
- Experience the sunrise at 1,800 metres above sea level
- Take the Salamander train back to Baumgartner station.
- Enjoy a hearty mountain breakfast at the Baumgartner station
- Either take the Salamander train uphill again and spend the day on the Schneeberg, or start your descent directly from Baumgartner station.

Notes on booking
Tickets for the Alpine Sunrise are available online in the web shop at least 24 hours before departure. In the case of fully booked contingents, tickets excluding breakfast may be available - please contact us by telephone.
Tip: The sunrise cruises are also available in the form of gift vouchers.
